Dental Program for Children with Ectodermal-Ectodactyly-Clefting and Ectodermal Dysplasia Syndromes

 

Description:

Provides treatment to patients with confirmed diagnosis of Ectodermal-Ectodactyly-Clefting Syndrome (EEC) or Ectodermal Dysplasia (ED).

Eligibility:

Child must: be Canadian citizen, permanent landed immigrant and a resident BC with valid BC MSP card, and meet the patient population criteria, not older than 20 years at start of dental treatment.

 

Coverage:

Subsidizes the cost of the complex dental care (excluding orthodontic treatment) including prosthodontics care for young adults. Coverage subject to the availability of funds.

How it Works:

A child who has a complex cleft/craniofacial medical condition that requires significant dental intervention to achieve rehabilitation
may be considered on an individual basis depending on availability of funds. There will be a lifetime funding limit of $15,000 per patient for such patients.
