Children’s Pre-School Dental Program

 

Description:

Yukon’s Pre-School Dental Program is for children, newborn to five years of age. It is recommended that your child visit a dental therapist or dentist before their first birthday.

Eligibility:

Children from newborn up to 5 years of age. 

Dental services provided by Yukon Children’s Dental Program are supplied at no cost to the parent or guardian.

 

Coverage:

On your child's first visit, they will receive a dental health basket full of information and dental health items to help keep their mouth and body happy and healthy. Each pre-schooler will receive an oral health passport booklet personalized with a photo at each visit to the dental therapist. The booklet provides age-appropriate information and tips on how to keep children’s mouths and teeth healthy.

A pre-school dental therapist is available for consultations. You can meet with the therapist and get ideas and tips on how to keep your child’s teeth and mouth healthy.
