More than 100 dentists and dental hygienists support 167 Dentistry students and 64 Dental Hygiene students in the clinics. The students provide reduced-fee care for approximately 10,000 patients each year.

Eligibility:

All residents who wish to receive reduced fee dental care from dental students.

 

Coverage:

After your initial treatment planning appointment, we'll be able to determine whether we can provide you with suitable dental care. This depends on whether the care you require is not too difficult for our students to manage. Not all applicants are accepted as patients.

How it Works:

If you are accepted and agree to become a patient at the Faculty of Dentistry:

You will be asked to sign a consent form to allow the use of your x-rays, photographs, impressions, videos, teeth that have been extracted and/or tissue samples for teaching purposes. Additional consent may be requested for research/publication use.

You will be assigned to a student.  The student will contact you to make an appointment.

Your treatment will be carried out through a series of appointments.

When your treatment is complete, you will remain an active patient for one year.
